Munckhof adds Teslas to its fleet

Munckhof recently added two Teslas to its fleet of corporate taxis. These luxury vehicles are fully electric and CO2 neutral. With the addition of these vehicles, Munckhof is taking the next step towards a greener fleet. 

Test phase

The two Model S vehicles are being used as part of a pilot project. 'We are continually working on sustainability within our organization and are always looking for new ways to make our transport even greener,' explains Jos Poortinga, director of Munckhof Taxi. 'The Teslas are the first fully electric vehicles in our fleet and will primarily be used for Munckhof's corporate taxi transport from the southeast Netherlands to the regional airports.' 

Greener

In recent years, Munckhof has taken steps to increase the sustainability of its services. 'We received ISO14001 certification in 2011 and have been actively pursuing a policy of sustainability ever since,' says Poortinga. 'This ranges from small details like waste separation to scheduling our transport more efficiently and renewing our fleet. The Teslas are a good example of this. Munckhof will take additional steps to make the organization even greener in the future,' according to Poortinga.
