The municipality of Montferland chooses Munckhof

The municipality of Montferland has chosen Munckhof as its school transport partner, following the recent tendering process initiated by the municipality. Munckhof, which currently arranges some of the transport for the municipality, will significantly expand its services in the coming school year. 

Local transport

The municipality currently transports some 260 pupils to and from local schools. 'Our branch in Arnhem will take over a large part of the school transport in Montferland, but we will also hire local transport companies to drive certain routes on our behalf,' says Jos Poortinga, director of Munckhof Taxi.

Future

Finding reliable transport partners is becoming increasingly important. 'Several forms of passenger transport have been facing increasing pressure,' explains Poortinga. 'The quality of transport needs to stay the same despite smaller budgets and shifting responsibilities. This challenge requires a customized approach and calls for organizations that can serve as a sparring partner for local governments and advise and coordinate local transport.
